  • Coaching is a relatively new modality that has grown in popularity over the last decade or so and is often compared to more familiar approaches such as therapy, consulting, mentoring, and training. Below is a simplified comparison of each. One option isn’t better than the other because they each serve a different purpose. Understanding the differences helps you select the right tool for the job.

    Therapy can help heal the past by helping the client figure out “why” | Coaching can help you take action in the present by focusing on the “how”

    Consulting offers an agenda and expert advice in certain areas | Coaching has no agenda and can help draw out your own expertise and implement your plan

    Mentoring offers a role model and the mentor’s wisdom | Coaching can help uncover your inner wisdom, you are the expert of your life

    Training fulfils a set of learning objectives on a specific skill or topic | Coaching can help you clarify your own objectives that are specific to you and the steps required to achieve those objectives

  • The beginning and end of sessions are structured. I’ll share questions with you in advance of the session to help us determine the goal for the session. We’ll do a quick check-in on any action items from the previous session. A magical coaching conversation takes place. The end of the session is used to reiterate learnings and align on action items.

    The magical coaching conversation is tailored to you and your needs. I will ask insightful, deep, empowering and thought-provoking questions and hold the space for you to access your inner wisdom for the answers.

    I may share observations or ideas, but I will always hand it back to you to reflect and decide if what I shared feels right for you. 

    I like to build rapport with my clients and ideally have our sessions resemble conversations you may have with a close friend, with the added bonus of making observations and holding you accountable.

    I consider my coaching style to be caring, insightful, and consistent... with a little bit of fun and laughs thrown in.

  • The time frame varies from client to client. Significant change doesn’t happen overnight. It depends on your goals, your commitment and openness to change, your capacity for introspection, how quickly and thoughtfully you complete assignments, try new actions, adopt new habits and behaviours, and other unique factors.

  • If cost is a barrier to entry, sliding scale options are coming soon. As well as monthly scholarships.

    That being said… an investment in oneself is about value. The value people place on something determines the price they’re willing to pay. Sometimes it’s a vacation, a day at the spa, some new clothes, or Taylor Swift concert tickets, all of which people have no problem charging to their credit card. So why not learning, self-awareness, accountability to help you move toward your goals.

  • Short answer, no. The shortest time frame available is 3 months. Coaching, building habits, results take time. It takes time to learn new things and put them into practice before you see results. You’re learning about yourself and becoming more self-aware and we’re taking that knowledge and turning it into actionable steps to move you closer to your goals.

  • What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions (with exceptions). I value your trust and take every precaution within my awareness and control to safeguard it.

    After our conversation, if you'd still like to cancel, one month of notice is required. All coaching appointments that have already occurred are non-refundable. A refund will be provided for remaining sessions. If you have questions prior to making this investment, please contact me.
